The Bible calls for Every-Member ministry.
Grace helps us to appreciate our gifts and talents, but also accept our God-given limits. That leads us to appreciate our need for others in the community (1 Corinthians 12). And it means that every member is necessary. Only when the entire community is appreciated and employed in serving will we grow into the body of Christ (Ephesians 4).

How Do I Know God’s Will for my Life?
Sometimes we wish the Bible was a specific instruction book that we could reference our situation and have it tell us just what to do. Who shall I marry? What job should I take? Should I buy this house or this car? Where should I send my children to school? The Bible isn’t a reference book that works like that, though it does reveal the will of God. But even that is hard to discern for a given situation. What if I make a mistake? Have I set my entire life down a wrong path? Do I need to undo some things I’ve done? What if I married the wrong person and how would I know? If I did, should I try to get out of it?
Knowing the will of God is complicated and yet simple at the same time. We’ll spend some weeks looking at what the Bible says about this topic and, God willing, be better for it.

Carter,
You do a great job teaching the word of God, thanks.
Do you have a preaching schedule for the summer with in which you’ve identified your texts and topics? I’d like to do family SS on related topics/texts (w/o stealing or previewing your material, ofcourse).

The next three weeks (including this Sunday) are:
6/1 How Do I Know God’s Will for my Life? (Deuteronomy 29:29) This will introduce us to the whole concept of the will of God and how we pursue it.
6/8 The Beginning of Wisdom: Building a Biblical Worldview (Psalm 111)
6/15 The Beginning of Wisdom: Developing a Moral Compass (Proverbs 4)
The rest of the weeks are not planned yet. Nathan may preach out of Ecclesiastes at the end of June and early July. Buck will be preaching at the end of June and will make his own passage selection.
