Welcome!

Glad you found us! Let me take a stab at introducing our church. We are genuinely working toward becoming more and more authentic. What do I mean? Well, we’re a church family that is wrestling with the notion of what it means to be saved. What are we saved from and why?

The gospel of Christ points us to the cross - God’s powerful demonstration of love for a people once his enemies. It explains how God turns enemies (us) into brothers and sisters, and that God does it even though we don’t deserve it. In other words, we understand the gospel of Christ to be accomplished because of God’s grace alone. That message is powerful stuff.

In fact, the message of grace is the most freeing message in the world because it tears down the need to keep up a facade (thus enabling authenticity). We’re not perfect people at Cornerstone. In fact, we’re coming to realize that we’re a lot worse than we thought we were. But more importantly, we’re also coming to realize that God’s grace is greater than we ever imagined. We’re learning to experience that grace. We’re also being renewed by that grace as we see it seeping into every aspect of life.

And so we’ve adopted the following mission statement:

We seek the renewal of our families and our community by bringing faith and life together in Christ.
