Work: Submission through Service

One researcher estimated that adults entering the workforce today will have 10-14 different jobs by the time they turn 38. Building a career today is not what it was 30 years ago. The view of work has shifted.
The message of Paul is simple: work hard and do your best all the time – even when no one is around to see. In other words, don’t slack off when no one is watching. In this way you submit to your master, or in our setting, your employer. But to do what Paul is calling us to do, we’ve got to have a proper understanding of work. A proper understanding of work is hard to come by.
Because you belong to Christ, you must work unto Christ. We’ll break it down and look at working for man, working for God, and finally working as slaves.
