The Bible calls for Every-Member ministry.
Grace helps us to appreciate our gifts and talents, but also accept our God-given limits. That leads us to appreciate our need for others in the community (1 Corinthians 12). And it means that every member is necessary. Only when the entire community is appreciated and employed in serving will we grow into the body of Christ (Ephesians 4).

Resolution Resources
As the season of resolutions is upon us, let me suggest a few:
Resolve to be part of a “long-term apprenticeship.” Resolve to read through the Bible in one year. It can be done in as little as 10 minutes a day, depending on the reading plan you use. There are several to choose [...]

Call to prayer
And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. – Jesus (Lk 11:9-10)
In the context of teaching his disciples to pray, Jesus gives us the Lord’s prayer. It is a prayer that reflects the mission of Jesus – that God’s name would be “hallowed” (revered) and His Kingdom would come. His Kingdom comes in the form of the church. In other words, Jesus encourages us to pray for the growth of the church, and accompanies this encouragement with fantastic promises to answer.
In light of this, would you join us each morning now through March (in your own quiet time with the Lord) in praying specifically:
- That God would grow our gospel-influence in the city of Katy
- That God would ignite our zeal for reaching the lost.
- That God would unite us as a church behind our vision.
This prayer won’t take long. When you pray, pray expectantly, as God has already promised to answer. He answers not because you, or Cornerstone, is righteous, but because it is God’s mission.
Will you let us know you are joining us in prayer by putting your name in the comment box below? We want to see this list grow so that we might know we are not alone each morning when we pray these things. We will know that our voices are going up with your voices in the name of Jesus (which means by the authorization of Jesus) to God.
Until the stone (which is the church) becomes a mountain and fills the earth (Daniel 2:35),

Carol K – this is too good to wait until March 1st. I’m committing to starting NOW!
I am with you, Carter. Nathan.
I will be glad to join you all in prayer for our church. I look forward to seeing how He will answer!
Joining the “warriors”, especially for unity.
I am on it!
Soli Deo Gloria.
Count me in!
Can’t wait to see what happens when a church unites in prayer. I’m in…
I’m in!
Praying here
I’m in too…may God enable us to “lay our requests before Him and wait in expectation”!
May the Lord give us clear direction and unity!
I’ll be praying
We will certainly be part of that effort and look forward to what God will do with and for Cornerstone.
Prayer with faith can move mountains. Mathew 17:20
I will pray remembering that a mustard seed is not very big!
count me in
Thanks for your leadership and the ensuing discussions that your call to prayer has generated. I am praying with you.
