The Bible calls for Every-Member ministry.
Grace helps us to appreciate our gifts and talents, but also accept our God-given limits. That leads us to appreciate our need for others in the community (1 Corinthians 12). And it means that every member is necessary. Only when the entire community is appreciated and employed in serving will we grow into the body of Christ (Ephesians 4).

The Mission of Prayer
Have you ever had someone do something for you that, instead of making your task easier, it made it harder? When my 6 year old wants to help make pancakes, I know that the eggs will get all over the counter and the batter may have egg shell in it (but not as much as when she was 4). She’s so young that her good intentions win her plenty of compassion. I don’t think I’d have the same compassion toward my 13 year old if he were to do make pancakes the same way. I expect him to have grown into more of a helpful role. As you grow as a son or daughter of God, your lives should show more than just good intentions for the Lord. You need to know what you’re called to do. You need to know how to “hallow” God’s name. You need to know God’s mission.
