The Bible calls for Every-Member ministry.
Grace helps us to appreciate our gifts and talents, but also accept our God-given limits. That leads us to appreciate our need for others in the community (1 Corinthians 12). And it means that every member is necessary. Only when the entire community is appreciated and employed in serving will we grow into the body of Christ (Ephesians 4).

In Princess Bride, Buttercup walked through the fire-swamp an abruptly fell into lightning sand. She was lost. But on sturdy ground Wesley stood and his love drove him to jump into the lightning sand to rescue Buttercup. The difference between his and her plunge was the vine to which he held fast. Using this vine as a lifeline, Wesley soon emerged with Buttercup in tow, safe and sound.
As a church, we are called into the fire-swamps of our world to go after the lost and the backslidden. Without the church we would have no way out. It is Jesus body – the church – that nurtures the gospel into our lives and allows us to pursue the mission of the church.

Thank you, Carter, for your faithfulness to God’s word and allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through you to us in a powerful and clear way.
