The Bible calls for Every-Member ministry.
Grace helps us to appreciate our gifts and talents, but also accept our God-given limits. That leads us to appreciate our need for others in the community (1 Corinthians 12). And it means that every member is necessary. Only when the entire community is appreciated and employed in serving will we grow into the body of Christ (Ephesians 4).

Since the time we followed the Lord’s leading to commit ourselves to Fanning the Flame, it has been our intent to make it a priority. Our coach, Joe Weatherly, is a pastor himself and has coached over 70 churches through this process, helping them carefully evaluate themselves, put together a plan for the future, and [...]
Read more →We began a sermon series in January on the Psalms to help us grow deeper in our walk with the Lord. We desire to deepen our prayer lives and learn how to listen to the Lord in the Scriptures so that our prayers become answers, more than anything, to the initiative that God takes [...]
Read more →“It is not difficult…to get a person interested in the message of the gospel; it is terrifically difficult to sustain the interest. Millions of people in our culture make decisions for Christ, but there is a dreadful attrition rate. Many claim to have been born again, but the evidence for mature Christian discipleship is slim. [...]

One of the ways God strengthens us as a church and as believers is by opening our eyes to see this work. So how have you [...]

Cornerstone has been invited to participate in a two-day seminar, January 6-7, 2012, on Shepherding a Child’s Heart with Dr. Tedd Tripp, author of the book of the same [...]

After wrestling with it he stayed and two years later was confronted by the slave trade. This was his opportunity to “seek the welfare of [...]
Read more →This past month we have kicked off a team assembled to assess and strategize effective structures for our congregation. You might ask, what do you mean by effective structures? This strategy is meant to help us figure out the best way to push our vision down into the way we organize ourselves into ministry teams [...]

He came instead as a Jewish baby, raised as a Jewish man in a largely agricultural society trying to maintain its own identity in a world that had been largely Hellenized by [...]
